Story

"Where does that idiot get his confidence from? " One of the Fossa under Dinoh's care wandered off. Considering Dinoh's knack for getting into trouble, Hadala was hardly surprised. Matters only grew worse when he chased after the runaway Fossa and disappeared as well. Hadala could only sigh in frustration. She wondered what someone who could barely throw a punch hoped to accomplish on his own. "The Fossa left a gift before leaving." The runaway Fossa had stumbled into a Klaw nest and disturbed its eggs, paying for its mistake with its life. After cutting down the frenzied Klaw, Hadala recovered the Fossa's body. As she did, the corpse began to shimmer, and a <QK>Soul Crystal</> emerged. In Atreia, it is said that a creature's soul returns to Odyle upon death. Occasionally, however, a soul remains in the mortal world, taking the form of a Soul Crystal. Hadala explained the nature of death in Atreia and the principles of Genus Insight before dragging the ever-complaining Dinoh back to Safe Haven.
