"The Ascension Artifact... We're almost there." Holding the Mark seized from the fake Fate Archons against the wall revealed the entrance to a hidden cave. Inside the cave, the party defeated the guards blocking the way and eventually found a portal leading to the Floating Temple. Before entering the portal, Kromede advised Valter to return, as his incomplete Ascension could cause the portal to harm him. He was asked instead to return to the Sky Island and deliver the good news to everyone. Despite his disappointment, Valter reluctantly agreed, knowing that it was an important mission of its own.
