AION 2 — August 5, 2026 Update Notes: Fashion Week, Seven Patterns and a Fix List
Editor's take
Two weeks ago we got a balance patch that changed little. Last week we got a balance patch that changed less. This week the developers have stopped pretending: there is no new content at all. What there is, is a shop — four costume sets, nine weapon skins, two pairs of wings and a half-price sale on dye.
Credit where it is due, the sale is a real one. Dyeing drops from 200 Quna to 100 with no cap on attempts for a full two weeks, which is the first time this game has let you experiment with your look without doing arithmetic first. The seven new Wardrobe patterns cost nothing and are the most generous thing in the document.
The rest reads like a maintenance log. Nightmare will stop stripping Templar and Chanter of their defensive buffs on entry, which is less a fix than an apology. Three bosses get their patterns repaired. And two compensation payouts land for things that went wrong on July 1 — the Abyss Corridor point loss, and a batch of exchange tickets that were simply forgotten.
If you have been waiting for something to do, keep waiting. If you have been waiting to recolour your armour, this is your fortnight.
TL;DR — no new content. Deva Look Change Week halves dyeing costs (200 ▶ 100 Quna, no attempt limit) for two weeks, the Wardrobe gains seven new patterns, and the shop opens with four costume sets, the nine-weapon Winter Night Frost Flower skin line and two pairs of wings. Pet: Auto-Pickup Ticket becomes twice per character per month and can be sold back for Bound Kina. Then ten fixes and two compensation payouts for July 1.
Translated and annotated from the official Korean update notes published by NCSOFT for the August 5, 2026 maintenance, cross-checked against the official Traditional-Chinese post. Skill, class, dungeon and boss names are resolved from our own database rather than the machine translation on the source page. It follows the July 29 notes, which were a class rebalance and not much else.
[Content & System]
Shop
- Pet: Auto-Pickup Ticket (30 days) at the Breeze Trading Company changes to two purchases per character per month.
- Pet: Auto-Pickup Ticket (30 days) (Bound) can now be sold to the village general merchant for the same price you paid — the proceeds arrive as Bound Kina.
Wardrobe
- Seven new patterns are added under [Wardrobe] > [Decorate] > [Patterns].
- The seven: horizontal stripes, vertical stripes, star, zebra, diamond check, cow print and houndstooth.
[Event] — Deva Look Change Week
Running after the August 5 maintenance until before the August 19 maintenance.
| Event | Decoration cost (per part) | Attempt limit |
|---|---|---|
| Deva Look Change Week | 200 Quna ▶ 100 Quna (50% off) | None |
- Open [Menu] > [Wardrobe], pick any appearance item, then use the Decorate button (palette icon) to restyle owned outfits and weapons.
- Once a part is selected you can change its dye, material, pattern or pattern colour.
- There is no cap on attempts, so the discount applies to every recolour you make in the two weeks.

[Other] — Improvements & Fixes
Fixes
- Entering Nightmare no longer removes Templar
Noble Armor and Chanter
Guardian Blessing. - Ishalgen episode quest The Lake No One Visits — the Jewel Servants in the Tunapre Lake cave were attacking the Veil Jewel.
- Sanctuary Erosion Purification Plant, boss Polymer Bagot — the follow-up attack was not used after the "Bagot, blow it all up!" pattern.
- Sanctuary Erosion Purification Plant, boss Polymer Bagot — the summoned bomb damage could be dodged with Assassin
Evasion Stance. - Transcendence Abyssal Horn Den, boss Gargaum — the bleed damage zone could be removed by the Gladiator
Wave Armor effect. - Expedition Citadel of the Fallen Daeva, boss Forbidden Hexbeast Griosa — projectiles intermittently failed to fire during the Storm of Destruction pattern.
- Settings: the network-status display option no longer shows the raw value next to the stage indicator.
- Season Missions: the per-step goal counts for Trial-clear missions in [Season Mission] > [Challenge] > [Season] displayed incorrectly.
- Brawler
Focused Block — with spec 3 active, the maximum cast count was wrongly shown as 3.
Renamed
- Transcendence Abyssal Horn Den, boss Gargaum — the skill Blue Light of Destruction is renamed Expanding Primal.
Recovery & Compensation
- Abyss Points lost on July 1 in the Abyss Corridor — where the level gap between character and monster cut the reward — will be paid out. The amount is proportional to each character's total time inside the corridor while they were level 49–50.
- Exchange tickets for the Soft Bunny Doll Outfit (Appearance: Set / Chestplate / Boots), which were left out of the July 1 Special-grade appearance exchange-ticket distribution, will be sent out.
We'll keep working to provide better service. Thank you.
