AION 2 Global: October 5 Launch Patch — Character Deletion, AFK Timer and Quest Fixes
NCSOFT announced an eight-hour maintenance for AION 2 Global on October 4–5, 2026, marking the end of Advanced Access and the start of the commercial launch. Game login will be unavailable, and players will be disconnected when maintenance starts.

Launch
- Advanced Access ends.
- Commercial launch begins.
Improvements
- Character deletion waiting time: 168 → 24 hours. Minimum level for deletion: 10 → 1.
- Inactivity before returning to server selection: 30 minutes → 3 hours.
- In-game announcements remain visible for 10 seconds instead of 3.
- Quest-object interactions will be smoother: some objects will stop disappearing, while others will respawn faster.
- Some bosses will have their stats adjusted because their current values are too low for the intended difficulty of a five-player party.
Bug Fixes
- Fixes occasional position rollback when approaching other players with Auto Move during a quest.
- Fixes access to Journal — Duty; see the temporary workaround below.
- Removes duplicate Content entries in Settings → Key Settings → Menu.
- Fixes progression in subsequent quests after the client closes during a quest.
- During the Poeta/Ishalgen Hero Quests, players unable to travel to Verteron or Altgard will receive a teleport button in the Quest Tracker.
- English client: the obtained Vanguard of Atreia title will no longer appear as Shaper of Heavens in the title menu.
Journal — Duty: Temporary Workaround
Until the fix is implemented, access depends on whether you opened the Duty tab before reaching Level 45:
- Opened before Level 45: the content becomes available the next day after reaching Level 45.
- Never opened before Level 45: the content is available immediately upon reaching Level 45.
