Azure Breath Island (Hard) — Dungeon Guide

Guide to the Azure Breath Island dungeon on Hard difficulty: three bosses with unique mechanics, vertical movement between islands, and a final battle involving control of blue spheres.

1. Preparation and Movement

The dungeon is characterized by verticality. The main way to move between islands is by jumping on giant glowing flowers.

  • Flowers: Jump onto a flower from above so it launches you to the next one. If you miss, use your wings to adjust your flight.
  • Respawn Points: Be sure to activate the "bind point" before each boss. On Hard difficulty, mistakes often lead to a group wipe.

2. First Boss — Wise Baumnute

This boss tests the group's coordination and ability to quickly switch to the stagger mechanic.

Stagger

azure breath 2

The boss jumps to one of the crystals and shields himself with a force field.

  • The entire group must immediately get behind him — attacking his face is useless, damage won't go through.
  • Stand close to the boss: if even one player moves slightly further away, lightning will strike from above, potentially stunning everyone and preventing you from interrupting the boss's cast.
⚠️ Warning: If the group fails to deplete the stagger bar in time, it's a guaranteed wipe.

🔗Chain Lightning

azure breath 3

The boss selects a target (a crystal or a player marked with an "eye") and shows a large red danger zone — all crystals and characters act as "conductors" for the chain lightning, which deals damage equal to 70% of your HP and stuns.

  • The marked player must run away from the group.
  • The lightning chains between everyone standing close together — dealing massive damage and applying a stun.
  • The boss's other attacks are fairly obvious and easy to avoid if you keep moving around him. Don't stand in front of the boss, as he hits with a root that stuns.

3. Second Boss — Expanding Xyrepe

This boss is considered an intermediate encounter and is not very difficult if you keep the arena clean.

There are 2 types of mushrooms on the platform: Red and Green. They grant a defensive buff that allows you to absorb spores of the corresponding color and stand on the mushroom patches (green or red). However, if you stand on a mushroom patch of the wrong color, you will not only take damage but also receive a very strong DoT. Therefore, it's easier to kill this boss WITHOUT the mushroom buff!

☠️Poison Zones

azure breath 4

The boss periodically spits poison at players.

  • Kite the boss to the edge of the platform and leave the poison puddles there.
  • Don't clutter the center of the arena — you need space to maneuver.

💨Spore Dispersion

azure breath 5
  • When the boss jumps to the center, the spore dispersion phase begins.
  • Calmly move to the edge of the platform, wait it out, dodging the spores.

💨Gust (Shockwaves)

azure breath 6

The boss releases four consecutive shockwaves that push players back.

  • Use blocks or stand as close to the boss as possible — damage is minimal up close.
  • The main goal is to avoid being knocked into poison puddles (mushroom patches).

4. Final Boss — Awakened Alturadon

The most dangerous opponent. The key to victory is controlling the blue spheres.

🔵Energy Absorption — Blue Spheres

azure breath 7

Small blue orbs appear all over the arena.

  • Players must collect them — don't let the boss gather 10 spheres.
  • Each collected orb applies a DoT (damage over time) on you that cannot be removed with potions — distribute the collection among all party members.
  • Destroy the large spheres, otherwise they will explode in a circular blast and leave a small sphere that you'll have to collect!

⚠️ Warning: Each sphere empowers the boss — if he collects 10, he will instantly destroy the group.

💥Crystal Phase (at 25% HP)

azure breath 10

The boss summons crystals and begins to ram them.

  1. The player with the "eye" mark (who the boss is looking at) leads him to empty areas.
  2. When a crystal is destroyed, a powerful explosion occurs — several spheres are thrown onto the arena at once.
  3. The boss can instantly absorb these spheres — pick them up immediately.

🔴Additional Threats

azure breath 9
  • Lasers: Beams cross the arena — you need to jump over them.
  • Lightning Dinosaurs: Avoid the areas where the dinos run — they can knock you down even through a block.
ℹ️ Note: Keep an eye on the spheres throughout the entire fight, especially during the crystal phase — losing control of the spheres = wipe.
